We’re going to share with you a recent project we completed for Judy Johnson that included a master bath and guest bath remodel. It’s so big. What was it like when we started? I was trying to remember a lot of old wallpaper, right? Dark green wallpaper, right? And a huge tub right where the shower is down, right? And then a teeny tiny shower where the cabinets are now behind you. We rebuilt the vanity as well, right? Yes, we kept the cabinets the same as they were. We put new…

The only storage I had before was this, that was it. So this is giving you so much more storage, just more practical. I love it. I really like that wall color. What color paint is that? Accessible beige. Accessible beige, okay. Remember, the tile selection was kind of challenging because you were looking at a lot of different things. Was there a point at which you got clear on what you were looking for, or did it just kind of take…

Pretty much. I think him bringing it out here helped because I got to see it in the room. He brought several samples, and I was able to decide from there.

What was it like working with Jose and his crew?

No, they were terrific. They would tell me the night before what decisions I had to make the next day and bring me in here and show them what they were talking about. Then they gave me overnight to think about it, and they came in the next day and said, “Okay, what is it that you want to do?” They helped me decide on a few things because there were a couple of things I just didn’t know. I didn’t know what I wanted, but every suggestion that they had, we have a problem with the shower fixture. It was on back order, and so, as they mentioned, this one…

It’s a really good one.

Yeah, I think they did.

And then also, we’re talking about the cabinets behind this because this used to be where the shower was, yeah?

The whole thought process here was to where I could take a curling iron and plug it in and push it back when that was done. Nice.

So, that’s worked out great, and another thing you guys had suggested…

There it is.

And now we can share with you a little bit about the guest bathroom remodel. This bathroom was gutted where we started with tearing out the existing old bathtub, replaced it with a new modern bathtub. We included a shower surround that had textured tiles, as you can see. We also extended those tiles behind the commode for a wainscoting effect. You’ll also be able to notice that we’ve painted the cabinet a nice blue color, very popular in today’s marketplace. We included new quartz countertops and used plumbing accents that were the polished or brushed nickel for all of the hardware accents in the bathroom.
