Simmons Floor Covering Total Renovations, here we are about to hand the keys back over to the Holmes for their complete house remodel. So, this is Mitch and Norah K, and we’ll give you some ideas about the process we went through and show you some reveals. So, guys, tell us a little bit about how you got the idea of renovating your house.

Holmes House History: This is a 35-year-old house. When we bought it 26 years ago, it was about 10 years old and had been sorely abused. At that time, we were barely able to afford it, but we got into it and raised our kids here. Now that they’re gone, the house needed renewal. In fact, it’s more like a complete renewal than just a remodel.

Before the project, we had some thoughts and dreams about it. The kitchen was much too small when Norah is in here with her two daughters. There wasn’t enough room, so we rearranged the layout, making the kitchen much bigger to comfortably accommodate all four of us.

Mitch encouraged me to pick top-of-the-line products for the kitchen because this will likely be our only remodel for another 25 years. We got a fancy hood vent, an adventium oven, and a convection oven/air fryer. The countertops are quartz, and the backsplash is a green color with texture.

In the family room, we had an issue with choosing the right green color for the walls, but with Becca’s help, we settled on a lovely greenish-beige that looks great with the white accents.

In the master bathroom, we did a full remodel, including a freestanding tub, refurbished cabinets with quartz countertops, and greenish-gray walls.

For the guest bathroom, we replaced the tub with a more modern, squared one. Carrera marble-look tiles with a deco design were used for the walls, and we also added quartz countertops and a new commode.

In the hallway, we put a wood floor to handle the heavy traffic. The office area is now our new office instead of a formal living room to maintain an open feel.

In the hallway bathroom, we did a complete remodel with new quartz countertops, tub, commode, and a fresh shower surround.

In the guest bath, we also replaced the tub, added quartz countertops, and installed a new commode.

The stairs were rebuilt with wood to match the floor, incorporating white riser steps for a seamless transition.

In the automatic toilet, everything is automatic, from the lid to the seat. The seat is heated, and there are various bidet spray choices, making it a luxurious addition.

Overall, the renovation process has been enjoyable, and we’re pleased with the results. Thanks to Becca’s color consultation and Scott’s recommendations, we made great decisions in creating our dream home.
